Juicy Peaches.

My loved caramelized Peaches or Nectarines.

Ingredients.

  • 1 Nectarine or peaches
  • 14-20g butter (I use lactose-free, additive free butter)
  • 1-2 tsp coconut blossom sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1tsp honey
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Protein bread (seeded, high-protein bread)
  • Cream cheese
  • Optional topping: applesauce, mango purée or other

Instructions

  • Heat a pan over a medium heat and melt the butter.
  • Add the coconut blossom sugar and let it dissolve.
  • Place the peach or nectarine slices into the pan and let them sizzle gently
  • Drizzle with a little honey and flip the fruit pieces once they begin to caramelize
  • Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon
  • Turn off the heat, cover the pan, and let the fruit rest while you prepare the bread
  • Toast the protein bread, spread with cream cheese, and drizzle with honey
  • Place the warm caramelized fruit on top
  • If you like, finish with applesauce, mango, or another favorite topping.

Serving Suggestion- Bowl Variation

You can also use the caramelized peaches/nectarines in a breakfast bowl. Combine:

  • Greek yogurt
  • Bee pollen powder
  • 100% organic dark chocolate (shaved or grated)
  • Honey or Agave nectar
  • Oats
  • The Caramelized Fruit
